To ensure trouble-free carpet installation that looks great and holds carpet stretched and smooth, BBS makes gripper options to match each and every installation condition. Our gripper is tested to ensure it meets strength targets and performs perfectly will all types of wall-to-wall carpets.
We use 5 veneers of plywood for added strength and all plywood glues emit no more than “E Zero” Formaldehyde.
Our Kongo® HIGH TENSILE pins withstand the stretch required for the heaviest carpers.
Super sharp Kongo® nails for anchoring have elongated LONG-POINTS® — this means extra sharpness and better penetrating power.
Gripper Selection Options
BBS provides gripper with:
2-pin and 3-pin gripper rows to meet AS/NZA 2445 requirements of 7m maximum stretch area.
High strength pin & rows combination on the correct species strength plywood substrate to deliver the AS/NZS 2445 standard for 6,580 Newton pull force.
Anchor nail options to suit the floor surfaces include: no pin for use with adhesive or nailer fixings), wood, hardened concrete or dual purpose nails.
Pin length options include long, medium and short options to match the correct pin to carpet backing and pile height for strong hold and comfort.
Plywood strip thickness to match underlay height ranging from 6 mm up to 9mm to match luxury underlays.
